Red loves to eat and it is not a good place to stop because there is a mean dog across the street who has hurt two dogs. I do not want Red to stop there because I don't want him to be hurt again.
Tonight when we went on our night walk he found a great piece of bark that I thought he would pick up if he saw it. Red has eaten so many pieces of bark that I know pretty much what kind of bark he wants. He also ate my fairy house.
I was eating lunch and he was going over there and I went outside, because, of course, a fairy house should be outside. I asked him to drop it and he did not so I asked my dad to talk to him. Even though he ate my fairy house I still love him. Loigee! Loigee!
Dogs will eat anything sometimes. When I was a little girl, our dog, Ole Dick, ate a pie my mother set out to cool. We had a dog after Ole Dick died. His name was Mutt. Mutt liked to tear clothes off the clothes line and chew on them.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up we had a dog named Molly who chewed up all my sister's shoes while she was at school. Molly didn't chew mine, though! So I wasn't as mad as my sister was. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about your fairy house. Maybe you can build another one later on when Red has developed a taste for a different kind of treat.
